Moving to a world that is 3 degrees warmer, in what Indy described as our most likely future, we heard about the layered and complex challenges of conservation and sustainability.

We heard how financial and economic systems and political priorities often fail to account for ecological realities. Indy emphasised that in addressing the climate crisis we need to consider how communities, economies, and movements organise themselves in the face of systemic change.

We also discussed the need for dynamic adaptation, not static preservation and the need for funders to back approaches that help communities and ecosystems adapt to inevitable shifts.
