Local governments are instrumental in achieving climate and environmental progress; however, they are often under-resourced, under-skilled and too siloed to enable the action needed. Using three cases studies from three different councils led by three different parties, we explored how philanthropic funding can bolster the effectiveness of climate action at a local government level.
