Environmental Funding by European Foundations – volume 5

This report is the latest edition in the European Environmental Funders Group’s series tracking funding for the environment from foundations based in Europe. The report features a detailed analysis of the 5,358 environmental grants made by 127 foundations in 2018, worth a combined €745.6 million. For the first time the report also categorises the activity of foundations in terms of the main approaches to environmental work that they support, and the environmental ‘discourses’ in which they operate.
