EFN
asks participating foundations, trusts, family offices and individuals to pay a contribution towards our running costs, with amounts suggested on a sliding scale related to total annual environmental grantmaking.
EFN is a resource and convening hub for both funders and those groups working on environmental issues; contributions allow us to pursue our mission of improving the effectiveness of environmental work and increasing the levels of funding available for it. A core group of foundations provided the bulk of the income needed to sustain the network over its first 12 years; the membership contribution was introduced in 2015 in an effort to spread the costs of the network more evenly.
Membership contributions currently cover about half of our running costs, so we continue to ask for and welcome grants that exceed these donations. Continued grant income will ensure that EFN can carry on our work supporting more effective environmental philanthropy and a more effective environment sector, and encouraging more funders and donors to support environmental work. Ultimately our work aims to ensure a healthy environment for everyone.
How to Pay
We ask for contributions annually via cheque or BACS transfer.
