Our 17th retreat offers the chance to step away from the challenges of our day-to-day work, meet fellow members and reflect on the scope, context and impact of our sector’s collective action. This year’s theme is ‘language and the environment’. Whether you’re on the field trip, deep diving in one of our workshops, or chatting over a meal at the pub, how we use language to talk about environmental issues and our work is a key theme we will return to throughout the weekend.

During the two days, you can expect an array of activities: a field trip to a regenerative farm, engaging with youth climate activists and authors, enjoying performances and learning from workshops, panels and keynotes. Inspired by our theme, we will explore issues ranging from climate justice and decolonising philanthropy to the rapidly changing international political outlook. We also provide space to reflect on our collective objectives and share possible new approaches and collaborations. This is your time to strategise, engage with different perspectives and connect with nature.
