Who’s Involved
The list below shows some of the trusts and foundations that have been involved in the EFN since it was launched in 2003. These funders have diverse interests, from the protection of particular species and habitats, to work on systemic issues like climate change. For many of the funders listed, environmental issues are not their sole or only priority. To find out more about the interests of each funder either click through to their website (where listed) or try accessing their latest annual report from the Charity Commission’s website.
Currently less than 3% of grants made by charitable trusts in the UK are directed towards environmental and conservation work, a very low figure given the impact of environmental problems on health, well-being, economic prosperity and vulnerable groups. If you represent a funding organisation and are interested in finding out more about the opportunities to make environmental grants then please contact the EFN using the form on the Contact page of this website.
